Benjamin is a student with a deep interest in psychology, inspired by his mother, a clinical psychologist. Known for his empathy, he has always been drawn to understanding and helping others. He founded and leads the Piedmont Peers Alliance, a school club focused on mental health advocacy, aiming to demystify therapy and enhance accessibility for teens. As part of his responsibilities, he has created extensive content and curriculum around this subject. A strong public speaker, Benjamin has been featured as a speaker in school assemblies and local newspapers on topics like mental health and social issues. He volunteers as a peer counselor and participates in community service, like the international building projects and local blood drives. Outside of his academic pursuits, Benjamin enjoys strumming his guitar, singing with his school's acapella group, and playing soccer and volleyball.
Our mission is to empower teens to understand mental health, break the stigma surrounding mental health treatment, and foster a supportive community through education, active listening, and peer support.
